gas cap

  1. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I just opened the gas cap on my 1989 Spider. The gauge indicated 1/2 full. As I removed the cap, it was as if the gas tank was vacuum packed. There was a big whoosh of air as (it seemed) the gas tank regained its normal shape (with a quiet "pop"). I'd perhaps expect a little pressure...
  2. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
Hello to everyone. I lost my 1982 GTV6 gas cap key and I found a guy on eBay selling new keys. However, he is asking me if the key has a number "6" or an "8"printed on the key. My cap is the one on the picture attached. Please if anyone has this type of cap confirm me what key number is...

Hi. I bought a NOS gas cap through ebay thinking it was valid for GTV6 and, to my surprise, it is exactly like the GTV6 one at the exterior part but the locking mechanism at the inner side is totally different. I think it must be the one for Alfetta GTV's (metallic bumpers) or the 4-cylinder...
  6. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
Dear BB, Unfortunately for me, I finally lost the original rubber gasket/seal inside the gas cap on my GTV6 as it's been loose for a while now. I have a makeshift rubber ring in place but it isn't pretty and more importantly it is not doing its job. Where can I get a proper replacement and...
