I was driving down the Interstate a few days ago when the Alfa gradually lost power and finally coasted to a stop. The smell of gas was strong and when I popped the hood, I could see where some gas had squirted up to the bottom of the hood on the end closest to the headlights.

My ’88 Spider is leaking fuel at fuel pump. Is this probable cause a failure of the pump itself or the fuel hose connections?
If pump has failed and requires replacement what is probability that hoses will require replacement too?
