Hello to all from Canada. First post here. Proud (2nd) owner of a ’91 Spider Veloce (US S4 model). It’s been a garage queen it’s entire existence with only 30,00 babied miles, and I’ve never had any issue with it during my 11 years of ownership. Unfortunately, that streak ended a few weeks ago...

I am a relatively new owner of a 1984 Spider Veloce and new to this community It is a 2 owner car from CA with about 86k miles, It was running great and after about 3 weeks in the garage (not driven or started) it was poor starting and when it was running it would not go above 15 mph. 5. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
I just finished cleaning up all the grounds and installing a new O2 sensor on my 1984 GTV-6 and now it will not start. Engine turns over but will not start. I am assuming, the smoke has escaped from my ECU while I was replacing some grounds and an O2 sensor. I think the key that let the smoke...

Ok, so I had a 1980 spider years went with the divorce, I miss the car not the ex. So I happened into a guy that had a 1984 Spyder 2.0 but had no idea what he had (I only had a general idea). I of course couldn't get my wallet out fast enough to buy the car when he said he was going...
  7. 164 & 168 (1991-1995)
Hi, Has anyone ever suffered an ECU failure for a 164? If so can I ask what the circumstances were and what model 164 it was? Just curious, seeing as I've been trying to use the OBD port.

  10. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Hello, My Alfa mechanic believes my ecu on 1991 Spider needs to be replaced or repaired. He told me it is an easy swap, which it appears to be. Anyone know of a reputable and quick company? I can buy a used one for $200+ but I thought for that price, I could get mine repaired. Thanks Rande

Hi, I responded to an ad for a 1992 164 2.0 Twin Spark this afternoon. The car had been sitting without a battery for a couple of months according to the owner. We fitted the battery from my 146 1.6 TSpark. When I turned the ignition all the lights came on momentarily and then went out as...

  14. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
1990 Graduate w/Motronic I've been fighting with my fuel system for several seasons. Specifically, I have regularly replaced the relay next to the ECU. Historically, that has helped for a short time. After a month or so, I had a no start problem again. A buddy and I have been looking at...

So my alfa has been sitting for about 3 years with stabalizer, I placed a new fuel pump in it and it started up, I drove it on and off for a day and placed it back into the garage. First of all, this is my first post, so, hello to you all. I've had my 164 for about a month now. I've bought it very cheap (1000€) with only one known issue: a leaking pipe in the turbo. I've since ordered a replacement and it's being manufactured right now. Still, I decided to take the...

  18. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Greatings everybody: My first Alfa was a 1992 S4 I purchased in Italy in 2001 and sold in Venezuela when I move to Houston in 2007. It was a blast to drive, and especially I enjoyed how lively the engine was, revving up past 4000 easily. That Italian version (with the spedometer in Km) had gear...

I am planning a project car with late model engine conversion to a 1970's vehicle. Can I use the late model cluster ie. 2000+? I imagine the speedo cable connection/ratio might be a challenge but shouldn't this make the electrics easier just connecting back to ecu? What am I missing?
