Hello Guys here . I would need some help. I have got a pair of DHLA 40 L carbs in my 78' GTV.
On decades many people touched this poor car , so my mechanist recognised the fact all of the jets are somehow modified in the carburetors.
And not really good modified of course .
So i would...

Since I had to service the DHLA40H carbs on my '72 2000GTV again, (blocked pump jets and leaky diaphragms, again), I thought I would have a shot at adjusting the accelerator pumps this time.
Below are some photos and notes which I hope will be helpful to others doing the same process...
Twin Dellorto DHLA40-G carburettors, fully rebuilt and in excellent condition. Professionally wetblasted on the Vixen Aquablast 915 (internal and external), ultrasonically cleaned and reassembled using only original Dellorto parts and Dellorto service kit. New mixture screws were installed and...
I've recently made a lot of headway with this but I still have some issues I am going to try to be as thorough as possible here so I can get some in sight into possible problems.

I think the other jets are stock. Background - when i was...
I wonder if any technical gurus can help. I recently got some DHLA 40's for my 87 Spider S3 2000 Veloce. These carbs were off another 2000 Alfa engine so had the correct jetting.
I initially installed these and noticed that the engine was bogging down and even dropping revs between 2 - 3k...
I have a small problem with some dellorto's - number is DHLA G. The problem is that when idling, one side of the carby will spit fuel out of the throat and it slowly pools in the air box area. This ONLY occurs at idle and when revved, the fuel disappears and car runs fine. It's only just started...
I recently renewed all the gaskests etc of my Dellorto Carbies, since putting them back on ive been having a bit of trouble getting my alfetta started. (It doesnt even ignite when turned over.)
The engine has ran before, (very rough though).
I have checked that the fuel is...
I replaced the rubber mounts and installed a support strut in an effort to get the Berlina running better.... but it's never as easy as it seems.
It (this engine and carb set-up) has always popped/spit back through the carbs. It's still doing it. I have the mixture screws out 5-7 turns at which...

i have read that to start the idle mixture screw is turned 2 &1/2 turns out. the carb is marked dhla. a good place to start?

Hi guys, I have a 1975 Australian delivered RHD 2000 GTV with the factory twin Dellorto carb set-up.
Cylinders 1 and 4 seem to be running at a pretty good mixture, yet 2 and 3 seem to be running pretty rich and foul spark plugs very quickly.
Does anyone know a good combination of...
I just tried to have the Dellorto DHLA 40H carbs in my Alfetta GTV2000L properly calibrated and this resulted in one adjusting screw being utterly destroyed; it was stuck at almost the bottommost point of the thread and it was quite impossible to move it. That carb (rear) is as good...
First post here, wanted to test you guys straight away :D
I have 1978 series 1 Alfetta GTV, 2 liter with (two double) Dell'Orto carburettors.
Unfortunately the Dell'ortos are shot, but since my parts car has some two pretty good (double) Solex carburettors, I figured to use those...
