History
Considerably modified car for historic rallying. Originally modified in Scandinavia and brought to the UK in the late 80s. Continued to be rallied in European events until 2014. The car has FIA papers. Fitted with a 1600 engine and 5 speed gearbox and was masquerading as a Giulia Sprint 1600. Full roll cage, plastic windows etc They even fitted the later in line instrument fascia. As purchased the car was well used and very scruffy. The intention was to keep it as an event car until my 750 Sprint was restored. However the need for a reliable car for European touring resulted in the car being considerably restored both mechanically and bodily, well beyond my original plans. All the mechanicals have been replaced, rebuilt or modified. I fitted 105 2000GTV front brakes for touring. The most significant restoration work has been on the body. The whole front end has been rebuilt and two new doors have been made - all on an English wheel. I threw away all the wiring and replaced it adding relays where appropriate as well as ensuring plenty of earthing points. Essentially it has taken over from the 750 which is still in an unrestored state.
