Blue (black originally)
This was the car you would see on multiple pages of every IAP catalog from about 1998 through 2010, when I was VP of Sales & Marketing there. It was originally delivered in Connecticut, but I bought it in Virginia in about 1995. It was in a constant state of flux as we tested different products on it.
1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce (Blue (black originally))
Currently has a 1974 block, a 1990 Motronic head, 10.0:1 pistons, oversized valves, Colombo & Bariani cams, 40DCOE Webers with 34mm chokes and curved velocity stacks (that double as filter mounts), a Shankle header, and an aluminum radiator. I had 10.4:1 pistons in it for a while, but broke a couple. I still have the original Bosch-injected engine, too.
Stock, except for Momo steering wheel, wood shift knob, new leather about 20 years ago.
The car was originally black, and had been resprayed brown by 1995. In about 2001, I stripped it to bare metal and had it painted a dark metallic blue. The body appearance is pretty much stock.
Engine noises only. Oh, and there's a wideband AFR gauge to look at.
Currently, KYB shock absorbers, IAP performance/lowering springs, IAP chassis stiffener. Drilled/slotted rotors.
Wheel and Tire
Stock 14" Daytona-style wheels. Current tires are old 205/60-14 Yokohamas, but I'm considering going with 185/70 Pirelli CN36 Cinturato remakes.
