My parents' best friends bought the car near Cincinnati in 1958/9 after it had been in an accident. It was repaired, and I lusted after the car immediately. First drove it in 1968 at 17,000 miles. Tried for years to get the Owner to sell it. He finally did in 1998, after it had sat for 30 years. I had to rebuild the engine, the brakes, have the interior redone, and repaint the car. Good news was it only had 21,000 miles on the chassis! Now has 37,000 miles, with hardly ever a problem. Sperry worked the head and recommended 1750 intake cams. With the Weber DGV carb this car is very reliable and very quick.
