More pics! Camshafts are in great shape. Valve cover easily cleaned. Impressive amount of grime accumulated on outside of engine. Perhaps there was an oil leak somewhere. Piston heads seem largely cleanable (piston rings will obviously be replaced). Cylinder head will soak in solvent for a few days.

I’m the guy who inherited his dad’s 1969 Spider. See https://www.alfabb.com/#/topics/679558?page=1 for original post and background info. We started to polish the paint, have removed the engine, and have taken it apart to begin rebuilding it. More pics in next post.

Hi all, I inherited the car mentioned in the title, which I will restore over time. It was purchased in Rome in 1969 and shipped back to Canada where it has been since. I’d like to know it’s current approximate value for insurance purposes. It has not been driven at all since 1978. During all...

My first post here! My father bought the car in Rome in 1969 and shipped it back to Canada. He drove it summers only for the better part of 10 years. It has not been driven since at least 1978. It has just over 41,000 miles on it, and it’s been in a heated garage all this time (roughly 40...
