  1. Mystery part and bracket

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Yes, that;s it. They are held in place with sheet metal screws. The edge that goes against the radiator should have a weather strip on it. http://www.cicognaniguarnizioni.it/Alfa-Romeo-100/duetto-osso-di-seppia-100-a60/guarnizione-profilo-laterale-radiatore-10060187_1386
  2. Engine cleaning/machining shop recommendations in the SF bay area

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
A car wash would be the place to take all of that stuff.

  4. 1969 Spider LHD WIRING LOOM

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I own one, so I picked up on it. :-)
  5. 1969 Spider LHD WIRING LOOM

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
The serial number begins with 148. That is a US spec car.
  6. 1969 Spider LHD WIRING LOOM

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Yes, it's quite clear: Elektrischer Kabelbaum 1600 Rundheck Spider Sorry, I did a cut and paste. :-) The wire loom in the picture is for a car with the fuse box in the engine compartment. Ken is looking for a wire loom for a US spec 1750 Spider. The wiring is different
  7. 1969 Spider LHD WIRING LOOM

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
That is for a 1600 Spider, not a US spec 1750. Lionel Valez lists them, but there are no pictures on his site. I cannot comment on quality or accuracy as I've never seen one oh his wire harnesses. http://thegiuliettashop.com/wiring-looms/choose-a-marquee/alfa-romeo/ If you have the patience...
  8. WTB: -steering column sleeve GTV 2000 105.62.23.100.01

Alfa Romeo Parts For Sale & Wanted
The part is common to all US spec 1750 cars and it looks like early 2000 US/Euro spec Berlina/GTV/Spider. I can't say what early actually means. At some time, they changed. I would check the length and distance between the two mounting holes of any potential parts.
  9. Seat belt anchor bolt size ? - 67 Duetto

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
The total length of the air plane style belts is 60"(156 cm). That's from the tip of the mount to the end of the buckles. The length of the single crab clab belt should be 51.5" (131 cm). The belts I have that are probably from a GTV are a bit longer by about 6" (14 cm). They are should/lap...
  10. Seat belt anchor bolt size ? - 67 Duetto

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
There are thousands of nice looking lap belts on eBay. Of, you can look at the ones here: https://www.retrobelt.com/collections/lap-belts I believe you need a 60 inch belt. I will measure the lap belts in my car.
  11. Seat belt anchor bolt size ? - 67 Duetto

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
If those are from a Berlina or GTV, they are longer than those that came on the Spider. The seats bottoms on the Berlina and GTV are higher than those on the Spider. Therefore, a longer belt is needed. Also, they are three point belts.
  12. Emergency Flasher Relay '66 Super

    Sedan (1962-1977)
I believe that is a BOSCH 0236850-002. They are as rare as hens teeth. See the post below: https://www.alfabb.com/threads/4-way-and-turn-signal-flashers-revisted.536473/
  13. Looking for original front speakers or someone to refurbish current ones

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Re-foaming the speakers takes a special touch. When re-foaming, care needs to be taken to make sure the voice coil is not touch anything. Most who lack the touch will remove the dust cap so they can shim the coil before gluing the new foam.
  14. Modifying Weber DCOE 14s from Mouse motor to 2 liter Carbs

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
RJ, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will ask that there be an enhancement so we can add subjects to our posts within a thread. For now, I suggest the following: ADD A TITLE LIKE THIS AS THE FIRST LINE IN YOUR POST The tools they have given us are pretty useless. But for now...

RJ, I would be happy to add this to your thread. I just need to know where.

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
As some of you have seen, John has decided to leave the AlfaBB. In so doing, he asked Verticalscope to erase his username. He was a valuable asset to our community and his knowledge will be missed. All of his posts are still on the AlfaBB, but they will be a bit more difficult to find. They...
  17. Nuts, Bolts and Screws

    Car Restoration
It is without question a priceless thing to have. Still, I think the parts are poorly documented when you compare the quality of the documentation of Porsche and Mercedes parts (just to name two that stand out). Years ago when I was looking for a clutch fluid reservoir, I stumbled across one...
  18. Nuts, Bolts and Screws

    Car Restoration
Parts for these cars are poorly documented. Sometimes the part manual shows the screw size other times, not. Alfa Romeo published a manual of common parts. I've scanned my copy and made it available from the AlfaBB. See my post in this thread...
  19. 1969 Spider Veloce 1750 - Just bought it

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Interesting that Chris Rees shows this car as being made in 1969. I really wonder where he gets his information. https://www.alfabb.com/attachments/1750-spider-production-data-pdf.1584006/
  20. Wanted: 1971 Alfa Spider

Alfa Romeo Cars For Sale & Wanted
Historically, you would just wait a day or two for it all to go away. This year has been a bit different. It feels like January, already.
