    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I bought collector car insurance for my 86 spyder. I have a policy that has agreed value replacement...for $15,000. I hope I never have to collect on it, but friends with really valuable cars..GT40, Cobra, etc tell me that there is no problem with a claim from one of the specialized collector...

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Also remember that the tire wear is going to be affected by the tires NOT being balanced and for that , also balanced and aligned. You will be penny-wise, and pound foolish...unless you own a tire shop. Tires aren't cheep!!!, at least good ones......Ride safe and fast

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Made one out of Aluminum years ago...used the vinyl covering as a pattern, and than glued it to the aluminum. Been working for over 15 years, so I guess that is a possible way to go. Lot's a luck

Either match it up, or try it to see if it fits...not a brain concept.
  10. Exhaust system mfr question

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Moving to Florida soon with my 86 Spyder. I keep it in tune, and the system is stock from the header back. As long as you keep it in tune, there will be no problems. In Nevada where I come from, that works. I removed the cat, and have just one Stebro at the rear.
  11. Spider Top Boot

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Had the plastic clips for 28 years. Use care, and they will last. The metal WILL scratch the RED go fast paint..so I will stick to the plastic
  12. will 1982 OEM wheels fit my 1991 Spider

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
The older racing Alfas had chromodoro wheels..Turbinos, or star. They look great, and have very little weight. Makes a difference...and they were factory supplied wheels. Check them out...
  13. Opinions: Wheel/ Rim change

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think that the wheels..chromodoro turbinos, or star are the best for the car. The Turbinos are very light..less unsprung weight...makes a big difference in the ride and handling. You pays your moneys and takes your chances... Turbinos really look fast on a RED...
  14. New Nardi Wheel, Horn Button and Shifter

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I sure am NOT pulling the wheel, after I have had it on the car for over 25 years to check.!!! Black spokes make the car a little classier, as everyone or most have the polished wheel. Also on a sunny day, the sun can reflect on polished. Just a thought
  15. recommendation for a wood emergency brake handle?

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)

  16. New Nardi Wheel, Horn Button and Shifter

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Years ago I put a Nardi on my S-3, Used an adapter, and bought the black spokes. Since my Alfa has a black interior, the black works as well..I think better, than the polished spokes. I NEVER heard of registering the wheel, as it has no serial number. It does have the signature on the...
  17. OEM Wood Steering Wheel Options for S4 Spider

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Up until Uncle Sam (big brother) mandated air bags, We did get along without them..in sports cars. The real Alfa wood wheels are Nardi. Momo is a cheap looking replacement. Get the real Alfa look, or not, but....just my thoughts on this topic
  18. OEM Wood Steering Wheel Options for S4 Spider

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I ordered a black spoke wheel from Nardi many years ago for my s-3. It goes beautifully with the black interior. Much better than a polished one, and it is also more unusual
  19. OEM Wood Steering Wheel Options for S4 Spider

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
If you want the look of Alfa wood wheels..they are Nardi three spoke. I really don't see the need for an air bag.. I like to live in the fast lane..that's why my Alfa is RED... fastest color, don't you know!!!
  20. cross country delioveery

    Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Has anyone used a good car transport company? I have to move my beloved spyder from Reno, NV to West Palm Beach, Fl, and want recommendations. There seem to be hundreds..prices from $775. to $1400. Any and all ideas will be helpful. There is no time limit, but I want a good, reliable one...
