Thanks for you help Christhopher :) I found the VIN stamped on the frame, RH front! To me it looks like "AK 1000898" ( with AK barely visible, poor stamp ) , and then "14020" which is the model designation.

Thanks Ed! One more question: if I keep a steady RPM, lets say 4000, in neutral, why does my AFR readings differ from readings when I cruise at 4000RPM?

Thank you for the reply Christopher, Yes, I have had a lot of quirky cars, but this one is the one that has gotten me the most thumbs up :) Yes, a loose connector is a good bet. I will examine everything closely. The one thing though, that is weird: When I measure voltage directly of the...

  10. Weber tuning with Lambda sensor

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Great thread and great work guys! I have installed an AFR meter in my Lancia. Just a quick question: going through the RPM range in neutral shows totally different AFR-readings than when I´m doing WOT runs on the road. Why Is this? Does the engine produce a very different vacuum when under load?
  11. Alfa Romeo A12 with weird electrical issue

    Electrical, Chassis & Lighting
Hello guys! I have bought a very unusual, and very cool Alfa ( I think ). It´s an 1967 A12 with a 1300 NORD engine. It has an electrical issue, that I thought was due to the voltage regulator. However, I have replaced the regulator with a new one, and the problem persists. Have a look at this...

  20. door bounces back

    GT (1963-1977)
Hi! I´m having a problem with the doors on a 69 1750 GTV. I´ve attached photo of the door latch ( is that the correct term? ) as it should be when opened, in kind of a 4 o´clock position. But sometimes after opening the the door the latch stays in a 2 o´clock position, and this results in...
