    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Right - that looks more like a Squirrel nest !!
  2. Gas pains

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Nick You get what you pay for .. and sometimes, less. That said, the Horrible Fright gauge should work .. if your fuel pump delivers .2 kg/cm2 you are good to go !
  3. Gas pains

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Regarding your query about the studs at the carb top - they are threaded into the top. Add a dab of thread-locker to the clean stud .. double-nut it and screw it back in .. the shorter thread section goes DOWN.
  4. Gas pains

Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Nick Yes, a 7.2 gram float is correct for your C32 PAIA 7 SOLEX carb .. and Yes, I have them available. Do not bend the float arm .. the fuel level in the reservoir is adjusted by shim washers at the needle valve body. Adding washers lowers the fuel level. Fuel pump discharge pressure should not...
  5. Late '61 101 Spider's Lucas & De Leon relay wiring questions

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Dave In response to your mention of a BROWN wire in your initial post .. and Joe's mention of a PINK wire connected to the "INT" terminal - there MUST BE a wire from the ignition switch (key switch) to this terminal OR a similar wire (generally PINK) from the tip of the DYNAMO light fixture to...

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)

  8. motor mount ID

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
They are correctly identified in your pic .. as written on the tape:#3 750 Normal - Int., #4 750 Normal - Exh. If you're referring to the second from the other right.. #1&2 are 750 Veloce.
  9. 750 Steering wheel horn rim color

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
The horn ring is actually silver as it is the metal (half)-ring which activates the horns. As for the plastic trim - WHITE is right. With time, they darken to ivory and frequently crack when removal is attempted.
  10. Generator Problem

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Bob In reply to your query - NO, there is no quick fix for using a CCW designed generator/dynamo in your Giulietta. Can it be reconstructed to operate with CW rotation? - yes, but it really wouldn't be worth the effort and expense. Phil has a freshly rebuilt BOSCH unit, I have a few originals...

  12. Wanted 101 Sprint flasher unit

Alfa Romeo Parts For Sale & Wanted
Dennis Not to make too fine a point .. but the brand or maker of the flasher was: Altissimo (as in highest quality). Lucciola refers to its function - flashing, as does a Firefly. That said, I have some but they have been converted internally to operate with LED's .. or incandescent lamps ...
  13. Rotisserie mounting for 62 Giulieatta

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Yes, you can get away with using the bumper mounts .. However it is a very minimal means of supporting the body while working on it. The bumper mount tubes are rather sketchy in the quality of their welds to the chassis. They were only intended to support the bumper weight NOT the chassis...
  14. Need for a generator bracket

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)

  15. 101 1300 engine

  16. Transmission shift lever help please

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Richard As an Alfista for 50+ years, you should count your blessings for never having previously experienced this problem ! By your description .. the rod (102.02.13.068.01) has dropped within the hollow shaft (102.02.13.061.03) and there is insufficient length extending at the top to allow...
  17. Spider 750 - where does this belong?

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Frank Dimensions of the component are needed to identify it correctly. It could be #1365.45.025 the lower cup for the pin that attaches the front stabilizer or anti-sway bar.
  18. Battery

    Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
Feedback Yes - a 1961 European built battery would have been tar-top. How many .. ? That question is ambiguous .. the large number of automotive batteries presently available precludes an accurate reply. Wet cell (this includes original design tar-top) batteries need venting and periodic...
