105 front spindle

The axle part of the front spindle appears to be a separate part than the knuckle and I'm wondering if anyone has successfully separated those two pieces and if they have what method did they use and what method did they use to put it back together.

What are you referring to as the spindle and knuckle?

If you are wanting to separate the the stub axle from the spindle, I'd like to know why?

The stub axle has the appearance of being pressed in.

Knuckle= part ball joints and steering arm attach to
Spindle= Stub axle

Um because I wanna? no, mostly because I want to use the knuckle with a different hub, with much different bearings.

I tried heating and pressing it, no luck

I've never studied the construction of the spindle-knuckle assembly in detail, but would guess that more than pressing is involved in securing the pieces to each-other. I.e., some welding.

If the two parts were to come apart during use, the consequences would be pretty serious.
