Rim identification

Hello,

I'm hoping somebody can help me identify a wheel rim. I've tried looking it up but no luck.

They're the ones used on Joe and Julia Brosseau's GTV6 3.0 of which I stumbled upon the Petrolicious article : https://stmed.net/sites/default/file...82-3111021.jpg

In one of the close-ups I see JWL VIA but that's just standards, not a brand or model. They look so good on the GTV6 and would live to find a set myself.

Anybody know what they are? Whether they're original Alfa from a different model or third party rims to which he's found Alfa center logos to fit?

Thanks!
Dan

The wheels are made by Rota. They were an inexpensive 5x98 wheel produced a few years ago and widely available via Ebay. They don't show up on the current Ebay search.

Here is a thread from the owner of that car that identifies the wheels in the last post.

Here is another thread regarding those wheels.

Thank you very much for the info, will keep an eye out and hopefully find a set one day.

And haha guess it depends whether you're from the UK, US, Oz or elsewhere, and even what part of that country
Or perhaps I've lived in France for so long that I've forgotten what we say in English and am literally translating the french terms - they use 'rim' for just the metal part of the wheel and 'wheel' for the whole thing with tire.
Although I've never heard of a basketball rim, just hoops!

So if anybody ends up with a set for sale... I'm here

Anybody know the offset for these by the way?

"Hoop" is allowed. The judges have ruled in favor of "hoop." You cannot put hoops on your car. You can throw a basketball through a hoop. You can also hang on the "rim" after jamming the basketball through the hoop.

18Racing has the following wheels which should fit a GTV6. They are similar in design to the wheels on the Petrolicious car, are also made by Rota and have a 5x98 bolt pattern with 58.5 hub center. Offset is 30 mm.

Nice, I'll consider that an option if I can't find a set of 16" anywhere. Even with shipping it's probably cheaper than a set of repro Ronals (my second choice) here!

I've contacted Rota in Europe, they're willing to make a custom batch but need a minimum order of 20. Might take a while finding 3 or 4 other people wanting a set this side of the atlantic !

But there are options, and it is a purely cosmetic upgrade of no urgency... Thanks for the help, I'll keep my eye out in the meantime
