i read where people were putting ford focus rims on their 105s and 115s. i don't like the looks of those, but i like the 5 spoke 2000-2003 mercury cougar wheels. i bought a set of take-offs (with excellent rubber) for about $130 plus shipping. 205-60-15. but i had to bore out the center hole slightly to fit the front and i have about 5/8 spacer on the rears and 1/4 in the front. under hard cornering they rub a little in the rears on the inside. i have a 1972 gtv with a tired suspension.

Hey BReneau, let's see the pics of your GTV with Couger wheels!

I'm curious how it looks.

cougar wheels

i'll see if i can get someone to do this. i'm real happy with the looks and the price. i got them off an expired ebay auction. they probably have some on there now. i've always liked 5 spoke. and they're kind of retro. you need sleeve-kine lugnuts. aloha.

Fresh from the spaare-parts car. Bigger & easier to keep clean than my turbinas were, so they have the job now.
Besides, they take the emphasis off the rust repairs at the moment...

What kind of wheels does your Alfa have?

Don't laugh,

My '76 autocross Spider has two sets of Centerline Autodrag wheels shod with Hoosier Radial A3S03 tires. The wheels are cheap ($125.00 each), light, but somewhat ugly. Here's a side shot of the car sporting it's new paint.

Mystery wheels

My Super came with three of these very cool 15" wheels but I have no idea what they are or more importantly where to find a fourth one. They look similar to the American Racing wheels on Canguro's Spider but not identical.

Any ideas on what kind of wheels they are or where to get one would be most appreciated.

Thomas, your mystery wheels are almost surely American Racing wheels. They appear exactly like the ones on my Dad's Giulietta race car in the early to mid 70's. I have seen some on ebay over the last year or so. One might have even been an incomplete set. Sorry you missed that one!

Erik is correct. Those are American Racing wheels. I've been looking for some extra wheels for my Duetto, and recall finding those exact wheels at Spruell Motorsport but didn't pursue it because they are indeed slightly different from my current set. Spruell no longer lists the wheels on their website, but you might see if they still have any left. Spruell Motorsport

Okay, here are those 1999-2003 cougar wheels. Can't get much cheaper. Still need to fabricate a centercap to fit the fronts.

Thanks for the info Erik and Iori. I will ask Spruell and keep an eye on Ebay. Please let me know if you happen to stumble over wheels like this again...

Thanks!

Originals???

Cheers alfaholics,

Well Im gonna take this opportunity and see if I can get some information on these wheels I have on the GTV Im restoring here in Brazil. I believe they came as original "sports" wheels on our GTVs at the time. Most GTVs I have seen here have them but in all my searches throughout the internet, I havent seen one of these on GTVs in the US, Europe or Australia. Anybody know anything about them?
I thank your help.
Regards from Brazil
Andy Street
