From what I know the "wineglass style" wheels were in Europe only standard for the Alfa 90 QO and for the special GTV Grand-Prix model.

Original Fergats on '58 Spider

Nothing else seems quite right. 'Course the 185/65 R 15 Pirelli's aren't exactly original.

Anyone try 924 Turbo wheels?

A set of 924 Turbo wheels sold for $51 on ebay. It appears these were made for Porsche by BBS. I checked a 924 site that gave the following specs.

15x6
4x108 bolt pattern
Backspace 110mm/4.33"
Offset 33.8mm/1.33"

I checked a steel 105/115 14" wheel and the backspace is about 4.75"

Seems like they would be about 1.92" wider to the outside. Has anyone else tried these? Think they will fit?

My Verde has these Momo wheels...don't know much about them. Right now they've got 205/50 tires of some sort.

Slightly off topic...

blu58spider - what is the width of the Fergat rims? Are they 4 1/2"?

Thank you,

What do folks think of the GTA replica wheels on a later GTV? I keep flip flopping on the idea.

Widened steel wheels, 6.5" R14.
They were in very bad shape and in need of a new outer rim. I decided to widen them!

Sprint GT wheels and tyres

I've got a set of Hein Brand's 15" TZ replica wheels on my '65 Sprint GT, shod with Avon CR6ZZ 175 tyres. I bought them cheap but they are too heavy for my liking. Still, they will have to suffice until I can afford to shell out for the real mag alloys ..... The tyres are great though, and I recommend them to anyone. Quite grippy, good feedback and just narrow enough to provide a little lateral slip, which is an issue if you don't want to be replacing all the suspension bushes every 10K miles.

Incidentally, I saw a 105 GTV a while back with a set of 14" (?) wheels from a late-80s Peugeot 205 1.9GTi, which is not a car that our US brethren may be familiar with, but it did look pretty acceptable too.

My laptop blew up the other day and I lost literally hundreds of Alfa pics and documents, so I will have to scan new ones in if anybody is interested.

It's common here in Portugal to fit the Peugeot 205 GTI 15" wheels to alfa racers. I've found a foto on the net of a GTA with those wheels.

I haven't seen my wheels here yet so here we go!

16x8 Performance Superlite wheels (Australian made) , with the correct offset. They do not rub and my GTV has been lowered. Tires are 205/45/16 Nankang's. Cheap but have plenty of grip.
