New Alfa Owner - Pics of my S4...

Hi everyone. Happy to be a new Alfa owner as of a few months ago. Picked up a 91 S4 Veloce with 77k miles down in Florida. I am the 3rd owner. Car was in great shape, always garage kept and I didn't have to do too much, but still did a few things.

I had a new top put on, replaced the 'phone-dial' wheels with Rota's (put the phone-dials in storage), new stereo system, Nardi wood steering wheel, had to replace left side mirror, mirror controller on console, and had leather around shifter re-dyed as it was pretty faded. That's about it though. I didn't have to do anything to mechanical and she runs great - AC works too.

Would have preferred a manual transmission, but settled on an automatic so my entire family can enjoy the Alfa and not just me. This is my first post so hope these pics come through. She's a blast to driver around on the weekends!

A beautiful car. I like the clean back end. (My 1985 has the goofy rubber spoiler.)

Nice choice on the rims- where did you get the centercap stickers? I need to replace the 'Rota' stickers.

lovely condition!
interior looks great too (kind of a shame about the crack in the dash... or is it just some reflection?)

Hey John533i
Got them off of Amazon. Showed up in just a few days and were easy to just stick onto the wheels on top of the Rota emblems.

Unfortunately, this forum will not let me post a 'link' to anything until I have made at least 10 posts. Seems silly when I'm just trying to help.

If you type this title into Amazon - you will see what I purchased: Eppar New Decorative Center Control Button Sticker Compatible with ALFA Romeo Giulia 2016-2019 (A-Style)

It might say Giullia, but it is worked on my 91 Alfa as you see in the pics.

Hope this link helps!

Spidersirie4: Yes - you are correct.

There is a 'gash in the dash'.

Bugs me every time I get into the car. Believe me. But - I have to be patient on getting that corrected. I am not the one to place a dash cover over what is already bad or to make un-original. . When the time is right - the dash will be fully restored to pristine condition. I've looked into that and it is a pricey step. Will happen one day down the road. Any suggestions on dash restorations are welcomed!!!

Dberry001 -- Nice looking example. Clean and straight. Pretty much a duplicate of mine, right down to the dash crack. Same shape. Same place.

Anyway, the steering wheel you used is the one I plan on installing during the car's winter hiatus. Wood w/ black spokes (probably the 330mm version). Quick question on that: I noticed there is some type of 'corrugated' covering between the steering wheel and the plastic housing for the shaft. Is that what is needed to cover the adapter/mounting boss that nardi offers for the S4? If so, does that come with the boss?

Thank you,

Congratulations on a beautiful car. My car’s automatic twin. I like the Rota’s. Have been thinking about going that way on my S4. Any fitment issues? And what tires did you mount on them?

On the driver's door, the trim molding at the top where the vinyl is loose... that can easily be glued back down with contact cement and binder clips. You have one fine looking S4 Spider! Enjoy!

As the owner of a red and tan S4 with Rota wheels I must commend you on your taste. Very nice.

Congrats and welcome to the club. She’s a beauty. Set a timer on your clock to see how long it takes you to want/get another. Took me 2 months. Wife put her foot down on the 3rd but I’m still working on it!

Stick is great but in traffic (which we have lots of here in Boston) auto is better than gold.
