It's kind of a tough call. I did the same thing: went from 14" steelies to the 15" phonedials.
+ Car looks much better on the alloys, and you get rid of the cheap, annoying plastic hubcaps
+ Better tires available in 15" (selection is still pretty slim, but there are at least a couple of performance options)
+ Ultimate grip is better on the 15" alloys with stickier tires
o You've got power steering so no impact on steering effort either way
- More unsprung weight. The phonedial alloys are very heavy, like 22 lbs. each, and you can really feel it in the ride. The car feels much "lighter on its feet" and rides better with the steel wheels
- Shorter sidewall means you feel the bumps more
Ultimately I'm glad I went with the phonedials since I love the way they look, but there are tradeoffs involved.
