Cool Advice needed for wheels on s4

I would appreciate the groups input on wheels for my 91 s4 spider with stock 14 wheels.
I am in need of new tires and considering upgrading to the 15in phone dial wheels what is the thoughts of the group i heard the 15 dial wheels give better handling but are also heavier i dont use the car on the track i only drive it on weekends and frankly like the look of the wheels i have is it worth it to pay the extra money and get dial type or stick with what i have i greatly appreciate the groups thoughts thanks in advance john

It's kind of a tough call. I did the same thing: went from 14" steelies to the 15" phonedials.

+ Car looks much better on the alloys, and you get rid of the cheap, annoying plastic hubcaps
+ Better tires available in 15" (selection is still pretty slim, but there are at least a couple of performance options)
+ Ultimate grip is better on the 15" alloys with stickier tires

o You've got power steering so no impact on steering effort either way

- More unsprung weight. The phonedial alloys are very heavy, like 22 lbs. each, and you can really feel it in the ride. The car feels much "lighter on its feet" and rides better with the steel wheels
- Shorter sidewall means you feel the bumps more

Ultimately I'm glad I went with the phonedials since I love the way they look, but there are tradeoffs involved.

Totally disagree with that - the 185/70-14 Pirelli Cinturatos are phenomenal.
