Chassis stiffener suitable for S2

Hi all - I know there have been many posts about the stiffener but I have a different question, will the stiffener that Centerline sell fit a RHD (factory converted) S2 ?, I've asked them but not had a reply yet. Thanks

I am pretty sure they are all universal now. FWIW, I installed one and consider it a waste of money....

I have installed 5 or 6 or 7 of these, all on NAFTA 115 Spiders. IMHO, they make a noticeable improvement.

yep, was a thread or two 10 years ago that it wouldn't fit RHD (Australian guy I think)
so you had it shipped from the US to UK?

Advertise it on AlfaOwner.....plenty of lhd cars in UK and you can't buy them there (although I guess the MOT inspector will have something to say, well at least on a car not yet reached 40 years old)
Certainly here in Germany anything like that stiffener wouldn't have a chance of getting thru the TÜV inspection, they go ape*+!# when you put on a different set of wheels!

Not really , you'd have to weld in a right angle and it would lose its structural rigidity, you also have to jig it to do so, its just not worth the hassle unfortunately

Hi Dom, its Joe90gt, no I bought it off someone who had it imported and fitted to his LHD S4, I'll sell it it on AROC FB, ebay or AOC, just like to get my money back, I checked many threads here but must have missed that one, lesson learnt!

must have been from Nick? (Anglospider)

he fitted one to his spider in the UK. I remember the shipping was very dear at the time.

Just out of curiosity where is the M/C mounted on a RHD Spider that causes it to interfere with the chassis stiffener?
