1986 Alfa Spider Quad Convertable Top Issue

Is there a way to tighten up the front of the convertible (bow/rubber seal) top where it meets the top of the windscreen. there is a gap of about 1/2 inch or less from the center to about 10 to 12 inches to the left and right of the rear view mirror.
Thanks all
V/R

My guess is the top fabric is too tight - preventing the header from being able to fit snug against the windshield frame. Before disconnecting the fabric from the header (it is glued on with contact cement) you can try adjusting the top height to see if that will allow some slack in the fabric. Look where the top frame attaches to the body behind the door openings. Loosen those bolts and see if the frame will move downwards any.

(I am not sure if the mustache is a requirement...)
