Never have with the 156v6 yet ... done nearly 50k kms since I bought it 🙂

If you drive on gravel roads things would be different

Never have since I've owned it, but I have a K&N washable filter.

Change if if it looks excessively dirty. No need to follow an artificial timeline.

For the S4 Alfa says every 30K miles. I'm sure that's perfectly fine unless you live on a dirt road, and I'd just follow that schedule.

I can't see any reason to change it based on time.

On all my cars, I inspect during oil changes. i use a compressor to blow out debris.
