Leather seats

I want to replace the leather seat covers on my 86 Veloce but am having a hard time finding a source for the original pattern with the red stitching..... any ideas out there?

My '86 Grad came with vinyl and no red stitching but I had them recovered in leather by a good upholstery shop that used the old vinyl as the pattern. Any good upholstery shop should be able to do it.

The red stitched seats came with the Quatro. Haven't seen replacement seat covers premade in this style. Locally custom made covers are, I suspect, your best route. Talking to an old hand upholsterer, he suggested I go with high-quality vinyl as modern vinyl's abilities exceed leather!!
Just FYI Paul

Thanks for the ideas and pics. My 86 is a Veloce but has the red stitching(maybe an option?) I wanted to keep it as original as possible but I guess I can keep my options open....

Leatherseats.com made a set for my 88 Veloce with the read stitching. Seats did need a bit of additional foam to tighten up the leather. Been three years and still look great. The black was more satin than the original glossy seats the were in the car.....not sure why.

Maybe cuz it wasnt Italian leather... 😜. I could have sworn I searching around last year and found a site that made the seats out of the original leather source with the stitching, can't find it now. If I can't get original I may consider other options.

That is some beautiful interior work there. Have you sat in or drove a series 2 car? I much prefer the series 2 exterior styling but these photos of series 3 interiors make them look much more comfortable... can anyone comment.

centerline has them in grey leather/red stitch on their site as 'out of stock', but perhaps they can order them? (if its grey you're after, that is)

I put in the grey leather seat covers from Centerline noted in the prior post. I purchased new seat foam (butt, but not back) for both seats. The were pricey, but worth it. I had a professional installer put them on who seems to work on much higher end cars than my '87 Quad. He said they were some of the best quality leather and construction he had seen.
