Spider S3 repairs - the work continues

Hello guys
I'd like to reintroduce myself and my 1985 Spider S3, originally from the Netherlands, currently with me in Poland.

During winter months I did engine overhaul due to massive leaks. Engine was in really bad condition. After some treatment it right now it works just fine

Done so far:
- suspension
- brakes
- renovated radiator
- filters
- ignition (new plugs and wires),
- basic electrical issues (I would like to tidy up the wires mess though)
- complete alloys renovation.

Next steps:
- new exhaust,
- some gearbox works,
- left front bumper to be changed
- visual upgrades

I will upload images of engine repairs and other works in following posts.

Expect a lot of questions

Any idea what these two wired parts are?

I believe switch (#2) is installed by PO, not sure why though.
#1 looks like factory-made.

Both fell out while cleaning steering column (indicators, wipers).

Super nice work!!! Congratulations!!
Just guessing, plug on right looks like a transmitter? Garage door opener?
If the plugs are "in-line" follow to where they go?
Hope you can drive over the summer!
Ciao
