Not to ask anything too dumb, but where did you get Lodge plugs? Last time a found a set of 4 the guy wanted $40 (Canadian) each. I didn't buy.

It wasn’t $40 each, but still expensive at around $18 USD each. I figure I don’t skimp on the engine, no regrets so far! The design was very different from the standard plugs I removed from the car..

Thanks for responding. $18 US, about $24 Canadian, is a lot cheaper than $40 Canadian but still far more expensive than the alternatives. When it is time to replace my plugs I will look at the Bosch with 3 electrodes.

Why not look at the Bosch with 4?

I would just go with NGK B7ES like most classic alfa drivers do

I used Lodge religiously in every alfa since the 70's, even when they started getting expensive after the company (at the end taken over by 'spica') finally stopped production....but nowadays the market is flooded with fake Lodge.
(you get to know these when the green 'lodge' script wipes off with your fingers after a few heat cycles!)

Those would be nice, wouldn't have to index them.

Not to hijack a thread on leaking fuel hoses, and if this is going too far down the spark plug hole, let me know, I though the Bosch had 3 electrodes, but if it is four, that is fine with me too, it has been over a decade since I used the Bosche so my memory could be faulty. NGK B7ES are also a possibility as is the Beru.

I have been using the Platinum 4477 +4 since ~ 1987. IIRC...(long time)

It has been a long time since I used the Bosch plug, so I would hate to guess which plug it was without talking to my local specialty shop. As J Clark mentioned the 4477 +4 and it is listed on lots of search engines as is the the WR78, but I am neither recommending or not recommending these.
