shifter boot help

Had to retype this as I closed the window, arg. Yes, I've searched.

This is how I think the original went:


Does the bracket go like this from above:


Or this from below?


I could make a case for both ways.

I had it like this but it didn't seem to fit so I undid it all. Used rivets as I needed them for the e-brake boot anyway.

OK I'm pretty much done. I'll post photos and some tips later today.

Man, I can't imagine changing a clutch is any harder than this project (I know it is, I just can't imagine it...)

I think removing the knee bars and the entire console would be a good idea.
The Redline quality is very good but the thickness of the leather vs the vinyl makes for a tight fit.
