CoCo mats in S4?

Does anyone have CoCo mats in their S4?

If so, can you post a pic?

Thanks

I think a late S3 Quad interior would look the same. I say put them in if you like them.

In the latest issue of Classic Motorsports, they have a finished photo of their S2 Spider with red/black checked Cocoa mats. Looked pretty sharp.

Hard to beat Cocomats for longevity and looks. I put these in my S3 a few years back. They're holding up great with the exception of some sun fading of the blue cords.

I didn't think I'd like the texture so I went with Lloyd mats: Lloyd Mats Ultimat Custom Floor Mats.

I've got them in all black in my '91 and I like them.

They tend to sun fade a bit and you can wear through the coloration down to the brown coco fibers. I'd suggest getting them in a single color because you can just respray them. I give mine a coat of black spray paint every year or two and they come back to looking like new.

I have the black and yellow in my 93. They look great. I will try to get a pic for you tomorrow

It is a fierce, piercing shade of yellow, aglow with passion and defiance,
vibrating with the energy of a thousand suns, of thunder at dawn.

What are CoCo mats, what’s so special... must be a US (brand/product) thing?

They're floor mats made of woven coconut husk fibers. They were pretty popular back in the '60s for sports cars. Kind of anachronistic in a more modern car, but then the S4 Spider was pretty anachronistic even when it was new

They used to just be woven mats, but now they come with a rubber backing.
