crikes!....that would certainly account for the low oil pressure light not going on

if it's being working fine in the past, its likely some sort of crud in the oil (metallic shavings) jammed the bore when the engine was turned off....probably need to investigate where such debris came from.....

Oil Pressure

I'd like to see pictures of the Oil pump after you take it out. ***** to remove the pump while the engine is in - even in a BERLINA.
