Spider 2.0 Valve Cover Bolt Size???

Does anyone know the correct size of the bolts (M6? M7?) that go through the front of the valve cover on a 2.0 engine? The ones that have a nut underneath? I've done a search and cannot find the answer. I currently have 1/4 20 bolts in those holes and that can't be right.

Thanks in advance,

David

On my '91, the nut is a 10mm and the bolt uses a 5mm hex.

I think you meant it uses a 10mm wrench. The bolt would be M6 x30.

I believe it's an M7 but every one I've seen uses an M6...

Not every one just uses an M6, it needs to be an M6. Even in the Alfa parts catalogue.

The M6 did the trick. My sincere thanks to everyone!
