Upholstery repair - New Jersey

I split my drivers seat vinyl in my 87 Graduate and over the last few years it grew to be about 4 inches long. I asked my friend who owns an auto body shop to look at it and give me a recommendation. He suggested a place in Hawthorne NJ called Fantauzzi's, so off I went. If you blink you'll miss it. It's a one man shop. He eyeballed it, noted that it is 30 year old aged Italian vinyl and said he would replace the center of the seat cushion and leave the bottom bolsters as they were, but no guarantee on the match. Since the balance of the entire interior is clean, unblemished and even the dash is not cracked, I figured I would take the chance. Picked the seat up today and he did a crazy good job! looks great...nice to see people are still willing to repair things rather than just want to replace the whole seat cover.

$200 is reasonable for the quality of work performed in NJ.
