thats why the design is just plain poor!
the speednut clips onto the headlight opening, which is usually painted, so not your best surface for a ground
perhaps the speednut has contacted some bare metal at the back!
its idiotic to say the least.

this is not my car but shows the ground.
I just file some paint off under the speednut and then use some copper grease to stop it rusting.
