I bought Meguiars Clay Detailing Kit and worked on general overall body cleanup. It worked really well on removing some road tar specks. Probably took a couple of hours.

Bought some oil. Picked up new oil filters (old fashioned cartridge style, spin-ons are for wimps.....actually, i think i should convert). Drove it around to run errands (hardware store to fill up propane tank and grocery store to get some OJ). Any excuse to go out on a sunny day and drive......even if it is to pick up Orange Juice. After all, 25 miles round trip to a store 1.5 miles away is perfect for an Alfa.

Ordered new tires. Decided to get the new/old Pirelli CN36 that are now available in a 185/70 14 size. It's either that or minivan tires in 14".
Looking forward to the delivery!

Dave,
I have the new CN36 on my GT and love them. Great looking sidewalls, quiet, handle fantastic. Nice.
Did you order them from Longstone Classic Tire? Dougal on the Blue-B can answer any questions you have, and give you a nice deal. I got mine from here in the US and overpaid.

Installed my new garage cabinets. Matching color of my '71 of course.

Jack stands and a ramp made the wall cabinets a breeze to attach!

I will! Just saw that Naturwood is turning 68. We still need a bed frame.

Very nice Ragno. I'm also in the middle (a long middle) of 'restoring' my garage with all new cabinets, counter and etc. My floor will be the hardest to figure out. You?
Let's see some before and after pics!!

The S4 automatic needed to have the booster replaced. Once I got the pedal assembly from the firewall, I had to snake the pedal assembly up past the steering column. Swapped out the booster and then had to remember how to snake the pedal back down inside the car. A very close fit I might add. The dip stick for the automatic is in the way so I had to give the booster unit a gentle push to get it to slide past. Then it was a problem getting the studs to line up with the holes. You can definitely see how the car was put together in what order! Once it was all put back together, I forgot to put the pin in that connects the booster to the pedal arm. UGH! Tight fit but very doable with one hand and a small 13mm wrench.

I also started to work on clearing the "beep beep beep" from the air bag system. I purchased the safety socket set at HF for $10. I disconnected the battery, removed the two bolts holding the sensors in place. I put some DeOxit D4 and gold contact on the bolts, cleaned the surface of the mount. Remounted the sensors, popped the connectors and put some gold contact on the plugs. Reconnected the battery and no more beeping!

I loved those tires when they first came out years ago. Great road tire as you found out and they handle on corners pretty good too. I love the tread design. My 1750 GTv that my son has now still has two of the old tires on the rims.

Put my newly acquired MaxJax to use and started to pull the axles so I can finally replace that leaky seal on the right side. I figure I'll just do both and I'm going to replace the original limit straps as they look like they're due for retirement. This MaxJax is awesome, I should have bought a lift 20 years ago.

I think I'll call it a day for now, gotta read up on how to get that dang parking brake apart

Honey, this is the last thing I have to do, then I'm finished. It'll just be a minute.
