Thread size/type on oil pressure sensor ???

Does anyone know the size and style of threaded connection on the oil pressure light sensor on my 1974 Spider? I recently changed the sensors (wish I did not throw out the old sensors) but would like to compare the readings with those from a mechanical gauge. I have a mechanical gauge with 1/8" NPT but I am sure the Alfa connections are metric. Are the treads machine or tapered pipe threads? I am unaware of metric pipe threads but they most likely exist.

I could pull the sensor and try to figure it out myself but I tend to work on my little Italian girlfriend on Sundays and would prefer to have the parts/fittings on hand.

Thanks!

I replaced the sender on my '89 Spider about 3 months ago. I used a friend's mechanical gauge to check pressure - I belive the hole is 10mm. And I think the pitch is 1.0 mm (fine thread). I gave the gauge kit (Snap-On) back right after I was done, so I can't be sure right now. I don't think there's any difference with the older engines.
Take a 10mm open end wrench and fit it to the threads on the sending unit. If it's a close fit, it's a 10mm fitting. 1/8" NPT is a little smaller, I believe, and the thread pitch is more coarse.
