Windshield Washer Fluid Pump

Hey! So, My windshield washer fluid pump went on my '87 Spider Quadrifoglio. I checked the electrical wires and saw I was getting a signal as I should be and I made sure the hoses weren't plugged which they weren't. I then guessed that the pump was just bad so I replaced it. When I did I heard the pump working for a few seconds but then it quite. I thought it must have been a bad pump so I exchanged it for a new one and found I had the same results. It pumps for about half a second and then goes dead and wont work anymore. It wont even work when I hot wired it to the battery. I'm guessing theres something wrong with the wiring and it's burning up the pump and not the fuse? any ideas? Any help is appreciated! Thanks much!

What's it do when you bench test it out of the car with a battery or charger?

Column switch actually factually working as well as you think? (even after testing it once? They can be pretty tedious by working intermittantly)

I'll re-test the switch, but when connected to the battery the pump does nothing.. :\ Thanks!

Check for loose fuses or connections on the back of the fusebox proper too.
