gas lid cable
I have a 1990 Graduate. The other day, when I went to fill it up, the release lever for the gas lid was floppy and didn't disengage the gas lid. Fortunately, I just had to pull back the trunk carpeting and pull the end of the cable by the gas lid by hand to open it.
I am wondering what the fix is for this issue? Is this common? It is too dark in there for me to see what the problem is. Is there a tensioner/barrel adjuster (like on a bicycle cable)? I don't recall a "snap" at any point, so I can't think the cable is broken....
Thanks in advance for any advice.
