[QUOTE=lm2504me;6279506]I just purchased a documented 61500 mile 1974 Spider 2000 USA version from 2nd owner. AR 3045799
Originally purchased in May 1976 from first owner, based on customer service and warranty book, and then sold to second owner in 1981 based on registration.
It has been parked in garage since 2002 and has been on non-op. A California blue plate Alfa the entire time.
Has original tools, books, and jack.
Original paint code sticker shows 95 39068 Rosso in trunk and it has a black vinyl interior.
I will need to go through all the mechanicals and electrical.
Hopefully, the SPICA will be okay.
An external paint job will be needed due to paint fade.
My wife will be able to have an Alfa to drive to events.
Looks good next to my 66 Duetto which is another keeper.
I know the garage is a little messy, but I like it that way.
I know where everything is.[/QUOT
im sure you know this but just in case... I have just re commissioned a spica car that sat for 25 years and what is most important is getting the fuel supply system back to virgin before you turn the key. get inside the tank and make sure it is clean and rust free, replace every single rubber hose and filter inside the tank and all the ones going forward don't forget to blow out the steel lines as well.. the last thing you want to do is pump junk into that pump if everything if it is still good. also llook at the rubber elbow that runs from the tank filler on the fender to the tank itself. they rot away and crack all the time.
