How to put on wheel bearing, shop manual unclear.

People,

Continuing my front new disc replacement project, and getting ready to pop on new disc, then hub, but manual does not specify clearly how to place wheel bearing back onto spindle. I mean, do I have to torque the castellated nut, or just nice and snug?

Thanks,,,,,!!!!

Garage
Tighten it two separate times. Once fairly tight to make sure the bearings are all seated, then loosen the nut and tighten again to a lower setting. Note the advice to keep turning the hub while tightening.

Note there are two holes for the cotter pin - 90 degrees apart. If needed, you can move the nut a little bit so the cotter pin can be inserted into one of the two holes (if one is not close the other will be).
