Placement of Insignia on trunk

I just purchased the block lettered insignia for my 1969 spider from Black Bart, the PO had a 1966 script and a euro "1750" (which will are for sale). I'm wondering if anyone has the exact measurements as to how to place these and the spacing in between the two words. The holes in my trunk lid are no longer visible. Thanks a lot.

Hi Brett,
I don't have measurements but maybe this will help. Very original car.

I wished I could help but I am a total newbie to the spider world. I do hope to obtain a duetto in good condition some day. I have noticed that some roundtails have the block letters and some have the Alfa script. Do you know which models/years had which insignia treatment? What does one know about the car based on its truck insignia?

quick question, my '69 spider does not have the round Alfa shield and the indent appears to be filled and painted over.
Was there supposed to be a round Alfa shield on the trunk, and should it be in a recessed indent?

I'm about to paint my car and would like it correct.
Thanks,
E

The badge is a flush mount. Hopefully, the holes will reveal themselves when the paint is striped off.

Profdld, the script on the lid is for a Duetto (66-67), the block lettering is for the 1750 Veloce (68-69). Euro versions of the 1750 have an emblem centered on the boot lid and 1750 lettering below it no Alfa ID. There are many technical differences between to two models, engine size being one, wheel size is different as well 15" for the Duetto's and 14" for the 1750's. There are some good books that identify the differences better than I can, the names of which I can't remember. I'm sure others can give you the name and author.
