cheap ebay car cover for Spider?

Any downside to buying something cheap like the one linked below for very occasional use? Probably no more than half a dozen times a year. No long-term storage, most likely when travelling. I'm moving in about a month and will use it for maybe a week then.

No horror stories of these things leaving marks or stains in the paint or anything?

Hooligan - Just checked out your website again -- DY-NO-MITE!! -- great work, keep it up! On the car cover, just try to make sure the the exterior is as clean as possible. Covering a dirty car can scratch the finish AND contaminate the inside of the cover to scratch it more the next time you use it. Using a bargin cover for occasional short-term use is ok, just make sure it has some way of being secured or locked, or it may not be there when you get back! (ask me how I know.)

Ditto carsdlt. I've seen many a person put a car cover with a dirty/contaminated) underside over a clean car (ouch) OR a clean underside on a dirty car (ouch). With even a bit of a breeze, they can cause mucho scratching of the paint. Perhaps you might want to look at one that only covers the convertible top. The upside is that they keep prying eyes off your car; the downside is that they invite folks to lift it to see what is underneath the cover.

It'll be just fine for occasional use. Remove it promptly if it gets very wet, though. For keeping dust, sun, etc. off anything will work, really.

Got one. Great to keep dust and pollen off. Stay out of the rain. Clean the car prior to using.
