Canging the motor mounts

I recently have noticed that the sepentine belt is wearing, and it appears that the bottom wheel is rubbing into the metal underneath it. I have also noticed a significant lift in the engine when I rev it. Someone suggested checking the motor mounts for wear. Is this the problem?
If I decided to switch them out, I am lost as to how to get to them. I can see them, but how do you get to them?

Do a search...there are some good threads, one fairly recent..."engine mounts" will get you there.

If the engine mounts are tired you should also do the transmission mount.
