Hands free H Frame

Here is a modification that might sound unnecessary until you do it. Having an H Frame press is one of the handiest and versatile tools you can have in your shop.

But when you're working alone and you're trying to hold the piece with one hand and pump with the other it can be tricky. Enter the harbor freight Pneumatic Hydraulic Pressure Pump.

Remove the pump handle and install the hydraulic hose (which will require a bit of modification) and that's about it.

Now some might consider this a potential safety hazzard but as slow as the pump goes if you can't get your fingers out of the way before there's trouble you probably shouldn't be allowed to be in a shop anyway... Still the standard caveats apply: Use at your own risk, do not blame me if you put your eye out, etc...

Notice that the press is a 20 Ton capacity but the pump is only a 10 Ton. I haven't found this to be a problem but I think that there may be a way to keep the hand pump handle to have a manual override...
