Yeah, it’s close to both years I presume. Haven’t sent an email yet to Marco Fazio. That’ll telll.

Either way it’s titled as a 67. More importantly, it runs and drives. (Minus brakes at the moment!)

Working on buttoning up some small things while the brakes see being done. Turn signals, brake lights, getting rid of surface rust on the floor.... then it’s time to take her out!!!

Overboard with a bomber? Most likely! So while the brake system is sent out for repair, I decided to clean up the engine bay, where the brake and clutch fluid ruined the side of the engine bay!

I also started on getting the horribly welded on rear fender cleaned up to be painted. I quickly realized it was way worse than initial appearance, so I had to give bondo a first run! Not too bad to work with for a newbie! I quickly realized the paint on the trunk and other rear corner was complexly crap (cracked and pitted) and could not be cleaned up like the rest of the car. I decided to sand it all down to get it rust proofed, primed and painted. Gonna be a cheap garage paint job, but at least the car will look mediocre instead of horrible!

Has the rear beaver panel been replaced, it has 1600 or 1300TI tailamps. As a US car they are probably from a 1600TI.

Rear panel

On all cars, from early 13/1600 Ti's up to the Nuova's, the rear panel was the same. Only the taillights were changed.

Well, after digging into the rear quarter and figuring out what/how to paint it, I decided I’m gonna monkey around with sanding and doing a re-spray or the whole car in my garage. It’s gonna be bad, it’s gonna be amateur, but it’ll be consistent and I’ll be smiling driving it! Which is really the point!

Just scrubbed it down with dish soap today. Gonna start sanding down the paint to get a good surface to prime.

Heading to a paint store for the Biancospino single stage paint soon.

Should be quite the experience!

Goats was nice enough to loan me his, which makes quite a difference! So I’ll be sure to look into getting a new one. I had no reference as to where to buy them, so I appreciate the heads up!

After minimal bodywork, I was able to get everything together and lay down some primer. Why didn’t anybody tell me sanding this stuff is miserable!

I wanted to add photos of the poorly done body work before I bondoed over it and painted it, to show the true condition of the rear quarter after being replaced. I assume I’ll lead any potential buyer to this thread, which would help show the true condition of the car. I won’t trying to be pulling any wool over anybody’s eyes!

Thanks Jason!

So, I pulled the trigger today. Figuratively and literally. One of these shots shows the final primer wet sand, and the others are the final painted! That was interesting!

And I completely boogered it up a bit, but I think wetsanding can fix most of it!

I also attached a before pic, just to show my whole purpose for this!

Well all, the time has come to move this on! I've posted it on CL and FB a few minutes ago. Priority goes to BBers. I've already spoken with one of you so far, who is interested. Let me know if you'd like to talk about this.

Here's my ad. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/6806110243.html

And in case you don't want to click on it, here's my narrative.

This is a runner/driver/bomber type car. The brakes need some fiddling around however. I just had Power Brake Exchange restore the booster and master, though its still being finnicky.

This has a Spica injected 2L.

I also just had the head worked on, as the spark plug holes were stripped. The head has new valve seals, is faced and has time sert spark plug holes, never to be stripped again.

I painted it just to make it one solid color. The paint job is BAD and the body work (whoever did it before me) is worse! If you want a perfect Super this is NOT your car.

I have the front and rear bumpers.

My asking price of $9,000 is for the car alone.
For $11,00, you'll get another 2L engine, the original 1600 block for this car with another 5 speed trans. I also have a HUGE pile of spare parts for this car that will go with the higher asking. Spare doors, hood, trunk lid, seats, instrument cluster. More than you can imagine.

Priority will go to those who will take the whole lot, as I'd like to have more room around my house.

I have another Super being restored that is demanding large payments at the moment, which is forcing the sale of this.

Let me know if you have any questions or would like additional pictures.

Clean title in my name in hand.
