Quick update.

Dealer ended up replacing rear pads and rotors at no charge. They thought it was a factory issue with that one side that was worn down.

Electronic as far as Iím aware. There is a motor on each rear caliper. I imagine for both the parking brake and stability control as Bob mentioned.
