Just replaced the MC and problem fixed.

I've used the Wesco belts on my GTV and they work perfectly. I would suggest either a fault in the retractor mechanism or as Wesco have indicated, an installation problem.

I don't believe this Pertronix 3ohm coil is compatible with the Marelli Plex (GM module)...
