Nothing is "standard" size, even in Alfa-world, if you want it to fit right. I know many people think one size fits all but it is incorrect. The photo won't help It must be off the car.

All these suggestions are full of holes.. as is your instrument. Leave it alone. If it really bugs you, turn the dash lights on for a few minutes. The heat from the bulb will drive out the moisture.
