Yes they are the same parts. I mean the pump assembly parts are the same for both steel and plastic tanks.

There are differences in the steel and plastic tank covers that pump assembly attaches...

Those fuel lines and brake lines fit/pop into nylon clips attached to the body.

You must lower rear sway bar and rear cross-member to be able to lower gas tank so you can pop lines out of clips.

24v G338 connector and Motronic M1.7 wiring

G338 connector looks like about a 19 pin connector. See page 806 in 24v wiring diagrams.

Motronic M1.7 (not M4.7 my bad) fuel injection wiring diagram with G338 wiring see pages 551-553.
