The screen is basically meant to keep the big stuff out, when they are the only thing between the source air, and the valves. If you had a cold-air box that could accommodate stacks, you'd want to...

Right, this is a #20 mesh. It should be a good performance compromise for a "clean" autocross or trackday tarmac, but I would not recommend it for street use, or a gritty track.
I am waiting for a...

Sloboy89,
Yeah, when I think about the evolution of CFD and everything else, I'm stunned. Atari sent me to Computervision design school in "83. Our system, with software, was $1.6mil. Two years...

Work request?

On an even more self-serving note. And to take it completely sideways for a minute, I'd like to bring this forward.

As some of you know, I've had some health challenges the past few years. I'm...

Ballough510,
This is a sideways I like. That sounds like a fascinating history. Aren't we fortunate to have had the stars align to put us in these places most only dream of.

Thanks guys,
I don't take offense to any inquiries that are meant to either advance, or improve the conversation. It's clear that most of the comments are exactly that. Positive, teamwork inspired,...

Forget the screen. My original assertion was that the flow efficiency is higher. I did not say the mod increased the CFM, or performed a magic trick. Just raised the quality and function of the...

Richard,
I use CFD for flow analysis. But I'd be happy to provide a set of parts if you want to bench test.

The stock stack shears the incoming airflow as it encounters the entry. I'll post a...

Thanks for that. With modern CAD design software, its getting fairly easy to express your inner designer.

So here is the result. The screen and its ring are bonded, and snaps on and off for easy...

So here is a fun project.
As some already know, my daytime job when not in corporate management, was in fluid-dynamics. Most notably in aeronautics and sailcraft. I tend to get a bit intolerant with...

Just a short update.
Been finishing the wiring in the engine bay. 3d printed the firewall pass-thrus for the batt cable. Have a batt cutoff at the cowling, so had to reroute new cabling.
