Alfa 156 Sportswagon problem

Hi Guys
I own an Alfa 156 2.5 V6 Sportswagon 2003 model, I absolutely love the car and have some technical questions, maybe someone can help please.

1. my on board computer displays all, however the average velocity and fuel consumption and travel time is not working, any ideas?
2. the car is not performing as it should, data trouble codes that keep appearing are as follows:
1. air temperature sensor faulty
2. coolant temperature sensor faulty.

I have replaced the air mass sensor but the fault keeps coming back after a while, I have ordered a new temperature sensor and am waiting its arrival.

any help please

Which temp sensor has been ordered?
Have you tried to reset the ECU - either by a computer connected to the ECU or the by disconnecting the minus pole on the battery for 15-30 minutes? It sometimes. This sometimes help.

Sportswagon

Hi Erik
Thank you very much for your response, however I do own a Delphi Diagnostic tool, which is very detailed, unfortunately it does not have the multifunction diagnostic option for Alfa 156, I have reset ECU, Disconnected the battery and re learnt the throttle body on various occasions, I actually need a wirring diagram for the Alfa 156 sportwagon 2003 model, as I suspect a wirring error, do you by any chance know where I can get a diagram like this? it would be a great help.
Also the location for the air temp sensor, as I believe it is in the air mass sensor, however I could be wrong. I replaced the air mass sensor and the error keeps re appearing. thanks for all your help guys.

I'm not been able to find a 156 car disc (DVD). Alfa doesn't publish the wiring diagram.
One good place for info and technical questions on 156s is this link Fun starts @ 3000!
Good luck
Erik

I came to think about this link FIAT ePER
which I sometime used when I had my former Alfa 155 & 156 (both 2,0 16v TS).
The link is to the ignition system, but check the menu and find the wires and sensors
Erik
NB! At the time I was in there I couldn't change language to English.
