Alfa Parts in Berkeley

I've got to give a shout out to this shop.
Granted, I don't really know of Jon Norman and his Alfa racing history (but I'll probably hear about it this weekend at the AROC convention), but I've been to this shop about 5 times in the last week.

I myself am an email/web guy. I ran a VW parts business for a few years. So if a business has little/no web presence, I generally don't shop there. But...

What I can tell you about Alfa Parts is this:
  • they answer the phone. Go ahead, call, it won't kill you.
  • They probably have it in stock. Yes, even that.
  • Their prices are not the lowest. But their quality is excellent.
  • Jon walks around wearing a white lab coat, like a doctor of Alfas
  • Bet you wish you lived driving distance to them like I do
Capp, Alfar7, ghnl and 3 others like this.

Jon has been a great resource for years. Love seeing him get some recognition.

Have bought a lot through the years from Alfa Parts in Berkeley for my 76' Alfetta GT. Best place in the Bay Area for parts and very fair prices. Jon Norman knows every thing about Alfa's and just a short drive from where I live....

Don't forget the team of machinists they have in the back of the shop - Norman Racing.

I have had Dan Marvin and Mike port 2 heads and several other custom jobs. Dennis Etcheverry (sp?) is the resident welder. He has done some jobs for me too. No task is too small for them. I too live in the area and stopping by to chat about the job is always a very receptive experience. And you get to see some very interesting engines on the bench if you do. They build countless classic and antique engines for racing, so the few months up to the Monterey Historics can get busy.

A priceless resource for the Bay Area.
