Keys4Classics still open?

Has anyone been in contact with Keys4Classics in the past few months? I've tried to contact them, in January and in March, without success. I also tried their eBay store.

I'd like to get some black-cover 'Alfa-Style' ignition Keys made for my Spider but can't get a response. I used K4C a few years ago for my last car and was very pleased.

Keys for Classics, specialists in code-cut keys for classic cars and motorcycles

If they ARE gone, does anyone have a suggestion for another source?

Timely question. The AONE webmaster just sent email to the membership with this link to an article written by a member about 'Keys for Classics'

Maybe the info in the article will help you find him.

From the article, here is the direct eBay link.

that ebay link goes to the US keys for classics

Keys4classics that Lokki asks about, is in Australia.

(...sure hope they are still there, darn good service when I got my spider keys from photos...fitted perfect...I used them maybe 3 months ago)

Yes, they sent me an apology earlier this week. They are having computer problems and dumped a number of emails. They responded upon running across my inquiry.

I also hope they still exist. Mar 8 I bought a replacement key, GTV6 trunk, from them. All done from photos of my key. I've been meaning to get this key duplicated for 10 years. Hope it arrives, eventually
My confirmation had this:
SHIPPING/DELIVERY TIME IS USUALLY BETWEEN 12 TO 30 DAYS, but occasionally may be quicker or slower than that. We ship thousands of items a year, mostly to North America and Europe.  Most are delivered within this timeframe, but some countries or areas take longer. Your local Customs or Border Security procedures may add to delivery times. This is our only economical shipping method and although it can be an uncertain schedule our loss/damage rate is almost nil! ECONOMY AIRMAIL CANNOT BE TRACKED ONLINE.

Mar 28. My key arrived today, it works. Lots of Customs stuff stamped on the envelope along with a proper international invoice. Happy customer.

I order ignition and door key blanks from them last summer for my '74 S2. The door blank was an obvious incorrect blank. I sent 3 emails to them asking for the correction and received absolutely no reply. I will not use them again.

I don't get to visit AlfaBB very often but just came across this thread.

I had intermittent email problems until September 2018 when I changed providers, it all seems to be working reliably now. Before it there were times when I just did not receive some emails, when that happens you generally don't know and there's not much I could do about it! Maybe my earlier provider was blocking some addresses, whatever the cause it was very frustrating and moving my email server was the only solution.

Also, I stopped listing on eBay some time back because it cannot handle keys cut to code very well, being a combination of product and service, eBay expects me to ship keys out within a few days or be penalised and sometimes it just takes longer than that, waiting for key photos from the buyer and so on. If I can find a way to handle that better I will be back on eBay (as "Keys4Classics", any other name and it is NOT me).

In every other respect I am still active, although often without an assistant these days. Email inquires should receive a reply within about 4 calendar days, if not please send your email again.

...and the last posting by TrilBlackQuad, I cannot trace an order to you from the info in your post but please contact me again and I will try to sort out the issue

I've also had a good experience just last month. Ordered a set of ignition and door keys for S2 spider. Had codes that were in manual but sent pictures of keys so they could confirm no PO had changes the locks alone the way. Newly cut ignition key from code works better then key that came with car!

Happy customer...

I ordered 5 keys from them, they were delivered yesterday, 12-07-2018. The fit is perfect, delivered quickly, considering being shipped around the world. I sent some iphone photos, which I will admit, were not works of art. The keys were correctly identified, and correctly cut. This was for my '81 Spider, door and ignition. I am very happy, and a satisfied customer.
