Custom dash

Saw this ad for a Spider on Kijiji...

I thought you might like to see its "custom dash"...... lots of work in there... why?

Why indeed. And if going to all that trouble, why not pick a more interesting type of wood. The grain reminds me of plywood. And at the very least, continue the grain of the main face of the dash on across the glove box door. That should have been simple enough to do for someone who could build this.

I would love to see the finished article..... No doubt it would have the polished floorboards and timber side panels by now....
